I catch fish with a rod and reel, but I cannot throw a net to catch bait. With net throwing device, I throw like a boss. It is very light and easy to use. Made of a durable plastic, I will have years of catching my own bait and will save money by catching my own. I do recommend.
Overall, this caster has potential, but I ran into some possible issues/downsides. The caster is solid and sturdy. It is large but the handle is small. I have small hands and with this thing fully loaded it's heavy. I have to use two hands to hold it. I have an 8ft cast net that I have practiced with. It's large and really fills the caster. It has lots of weights and it takes time to get them spread evenly. Once I get the net situated, I'm able to throw decently. This would really work best off…

While traveling around Flordia all winter, I have been trying to fish using a cast net. I've gone out a dozen times or more, and each time, I get maybe 2 out of 20 throws to actually open up and make a circle. With this, I loaded my 6ft cast net into the caster, and every throw was a circle, not all a perfect circle at first, but every single one could have landed me a fish. (if any fish were swimming in the backyard).
I like this Fishing Caster. It is lightweight and seems durable. It does not come with any instructions. but the videos on the product page are all I needed to try it out. It is fairly easy after watching it done on the video. I am a newbie when it comes to cast nets. Once I straightened out my cast net and loaded into the Caster I was able to throw the net in a circle, not perfect, but respectable. I am confidant that I will only get better with use.
